ABOUT THE ARTIST: JENN

Thanks for stopping by! I'm a portrait and headshot photographer based in Clemmons, NC. I am in a small percentage of photographers with some letters after my name... CPP (Certified Professional Photographer) which means that I have demonstrated a high level of artistic and technical competence, and Cr. Photog. (Craftsman Photographer) which means that I have given back to the industry in the form of teaching and mentoring. Now that we got that out of the way... 

If you're here, you probably want to know something about me. So here you go... 

  • what makes me tick: planning a trip. to anywhere. an obsession really.

  • my dream car: 2012 audi R8

  • my food vice: thin mints girl scout cookies. they are the devil. (who's with me??!?) and on a side note, the pink starbursts are my favorite.

  • what terrifies me: spiders. little ones, big ones. doesn't matter. ewwww.

  • my favorite vacation spot: well, this is a tough one. i was an air force kid growing up and lived everywhere from california to england, and then i worked for the airlines for several years, so i do love to travel. i could only narrow it down to 3. :)

           for relaxation - Maui
           for fun - New York City
           for old times' sake - England

  • my quirks: i always set my alarm for odd times, like 817am. and i'm germaphobic. i won't eat or drink after *anyone*, and i wash my hands like 27 times just while i cook dinner. ok, maybe not quite 27, but it's a lot, and i go through soap like nobody's business.
  • what i love to photograph: i love bringing out the personality of a high school senior before they begin the next big phase of their lives. after all, chances are good that the next professional photos they'll have taken will be when they're getting married.

  • my favorite quotes are from Dr. Seuss: "Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened." & "Be who you are and say what you feel because those who matter don't mind and those who mind don't matter." Also, Yoda... "Do or do not. There is no try."

  • what's on my bucket list: i'd love to visit greece. so who wants to book my services for a Senior Expedition in greece? :)

  • what drives me batty: negative attitudes

  • what makes my day: i love when people let me know they're thinking of me. whether it's a handwritten note, a quick text or call, or a small thoughtful gift. it totally makes my day. every time.

LIGHTING ASSISTANT + VIDEO GUY, JAKE

Jake is Jenn's oldest son. He graduated from ECU with his business degree in December 2023 and began his own video business, Pixel Motion Media. He also works with Jenn as an assistant and does all the video work for the studio! He offers business promotional videos, senior films, family films, legacy films, cinematic car videos, and more. 

what makes me tick: fishing

what terrifies me: Mom driving (he's kidding... i think)

BERIT, QUEEN OF HAIR AND MAKEUP

Berit provides hair and makeup for our Senior Experience clients and her services can be added on to any type of session. She also owns Sunkissed Tanning Salon and Carolina Shine Boutique in Lexington! 

what makes me tick: I strive daily to create a brand that is successful and has integrity. So, constantly changing and growing makes me tick to be the best version of myself. 
my dream car: My jeep Sahara! I’ve always wanted a jeep and finally bought one in 2023. 
my food vice: I love Mexican food, street tacos are the best! 
what terrifies me: Snakes and lizards! I must’ve been a snake charmer in another life because they always find me! 
my favorite vacation spot: I’m a huge Disney fan, and although I’m on the go a lot when I get to visit it’s the best place to visit. 
my quirks: I have to keep my house clean- so clean it looks like nobody lives there! I know it drives my family crazy.

what’s on my bucket list: Meet Eric Church (my all time favorite artist), visit Salem Massachusetts,  and visit Hawaii. 
what drives me batty: I’m a perfectionist and if I don’t get it right the first time (in anything I do) or to my standards it drives me crazy! 
what makes my day: Halloween, or anything related to Halloween! 
what I love most about what I do: I love getting to know my clients and helping them achieve the vision they are looking for when they come to me. To see them light up when they see themselves is the best part!
